Dear Sirs,
“the so-called Gulf War Syndrome” was the phrase which caused me to write. Using “so-called” suggests that Gulf War Syndrome is not an official term when, as of Nov 2008, it is. The VA, and Congressionally mandated, official report is entitled “Gulf War Illness and the Health of Gulf War Veterans”.

GWS is referred to as Gulf War Illness and Gulf War Syndrome repeatedly therein. To continue to “so-call” it is a disservice to the 175,000 veterans who have suffered it first hand.
